Clewer Regional Network Online Meetings
Join The Clewer Initiative’s regional network meetings to connect with others tackling modern slavery and exploitation, share best practice, and strengthen local action.

The Clewer Initiative hosts regular online regional network meetings, bringing together people who are actively working to raise awareness of modern slavery and exploitation, and to strengthen responses within their communities.
These informal meetings are primarily designed for churches, faith groups, charities, community organisations, and volunteers who are already involved in anti-slavery work, as well as those who are beginning to explore or develop local action. They provide a supportive space to connect with others, share experiences, exchange ideas and resources, and learn from activity taking place across the network.
To help focus discussions and encourage regional collaboration, England is divided into four network areas. However, participants may find it beneficial to attend more than one regional meeting where appropriate, and those in Scotland or Wales are also welcome to join their neighbouring regions meetings whilst our network continues to grow.
Who Are the Meetings For?
These meetings are suitable for
- Clergy, church/ ministry leaders, diocesan staff
- Modern Slavery Ambassadors, or any individuals who have a role in raising awareness of modern slavery or responding to exploitation within their community
- Staff and volunteers from other related charities, and community organisations
- Those who are developing anti-slavery activities and would benefit from support and connection with others in the network
While we warmly welcome those who are new to this area of work, the meetings are intended for people with a professional, volunteer, or organisational connection to tackling exploitation and modern slavery. This helps ensure discussions remain relevant, focused, and beneficial for all attendees.
What to Expect
During each meeting, there will be opportunities to:
- Hear updates, news, and resources from The Clewer Initiative
- Share local activities, events, and good practice
- Discuss challenges and opportunities within your region
- Ask questions and seek advice from others in the network
- Build relationships and strengthen collaborative responses to exploitation
Our aim is to create a supportive and encouraging environment where participants can learn from one another and feel connected to a wider movement working to address modern slavery across the UK.
