Courses for small groups

We are passionate about creating high quality resources for churches and communities to use to learn more about modern slavery.

Over the years, we have developed a number of six-week courses, each with a slightly different focus or scope. Some of our courses are accompanied by films featuring interviews with frontline experts and dramatised victims stories.

Children in the Shadows Revisited

This course focuses on child exploitation in the UK and beyond.

Waiting in the Wilderness

A course based on Luke 13 and including six original poems. Focuses on domestic servitude, county lines, the care sector, sexual exploitation, the car wash sector and forced labour.

True Freedom

Created in partnership with the World Council of Churches (WCC), True Freedom is available in English, French, German, Spanish, Dutch and Korean.

Journeys

This course looks at how victims of modern slavery are targeted and trapped. It includes six powerful testimonies, dramatised by actors. It also explores the journeys of modern slavery activists and encourages people to consider their own journey and response.

Women in the Shadows

The course concentrates on the different forms of modern slavery facing women and girls in the UK today. Participants learn more about sexual exploitation, forced labour and county lines and also what can be done to combat it and support victims when they escape entrapment.
